The FARM Barn Burner is one of the only races taking place in June in the greater Birmingham area, so take advantage of this opportunity to come burn up the trail!
5 Miler
The 5-mile option starts at the Dunnavant Valley Fields (formerly 1996 fields) parking lot; from there, the crowd will be thinned out for a quarter mile before hitting the Dunnavant Valley Greenway, which parallels the North Fork of Yellow Leaf Creek for 1.9 miles. From there runners will continue through the Highway 41 Trailhead parking lot and run the trail paralleling the highway for only 1/10 of a mile before entering Dunnanvant Valley Park. Runners will continue to the first aid station and 5 mile turn around at the barn located next to the pond. Runners loop back on the same course, with only a few sections of true single-track, so traffic should not be a problem. Overall elevation gain is approximately 230 feet.
11 Miler
After reaching the halfway point of the 5-mile race, and the first aid station, 11-mile runners will climb up a jeep road for 1/2 mile before entering Laurel Loop on the left. Runners will run the entire loop (2 miles) and enter Raven's Roost for a quarter mile before getting back onto the main jeep road. The jeep road will take runners a 1/2 mile to the edge of Double Oak Way and the second aid station and turn around for the 11 miler. Runners will jump onto Fire on the Mountain on their left for 0.72 miles before getting back onto the main jeep road one last time. From here it is all downhill! Runners are taking the same course back from here, with only a few sections of true single-track, so traffic should not be a problem. Overall elevation gain is approximately 2500 feet.
Back half of the 11 mile course.
There will be a kid’s fun run this year, that will be approximately 1/2 mile in the parking lot of the soccer fields. All kids are welcome, no registration is necessary.

Saturday, June 15th - 5:30 to 6:15 AM: Packet pickup and late registration at the Dunnavant Valley fields parking lot/start line area.
Saturday, June 15th - 7:00 AM: 5 and 11 Miler start. Join us after the race for a cool beverage. Awards for overall and masters will be given as they finish.
Saturday, June 15th - 7:15 AM: Kids race gets kicked off!
